The Fire Magic Choice CM650i is the multi-user built-in gas grill: a 36 x 18 in cooking surface and 69,000 BTU for shared grilling areas such as apartment complexes, HOAs, schools and community centers. Anti-theft hardware keeps knobs and grids in place, and Turn-to-Light ignition needs no power. Fire Magic calls the cutout size a 40 in built-in grill, which is what matters for the island.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: grill head, cooking grids, flavor grids, warming rack and drip tray.
- Required: a gas supply at the correct pressure and a licensed gas fitter.
- Combustible enclosure: an insulating liner is required. See the Fire Magic insulating liner for the C650i built-in grill (3177-52).
- Optional: Fire Magic double side burner.
Installation Notes
Natural gas runs at 7 in w.c. normal (5 in minimum, 10 1/2 in maximum); propane at 11 in w.c. normal (10 in minimum, 13 in maximum), per the Fire Magic Choice manuals. Fire Magic requires 5 ft from the cooking surface to overhead construction, and a non-combustible countertop. Follow the installation manual for rear and side wall clearances, since the manual linked here covers the CM430s post-mount models. A qualified professional must install it, and NYC and Long Island jobs need the proper permits. Book a design consultation and we will plan the island cutout and gas line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really a 36 in grill?
The cooking grids are 36 x 18 in. Fire Magic's spec guide lists the C(M)650i as a 40 in built-in grill, with a 37 3/4 in wide cutout.
Does it need electricity?
No. Choice Turn-to-Light ignition needs no power or batteries.
Does it need an insulating liner?
Only in a combustible enclosure. Use the 3177-52 liner linked above.
How is the warranty different from the home model?
The multi-user warranty is 5 years on housing, burners, grids and valves and 1 year on other components, instead of the single-family tiers.

Warranty
Fire Magic's Multi-User Limited Warranty applies in multi-user settings (apartment complexes, multi-family dwellings, schools, hotels, fire and police stations; restaurants and primarily commercial use excluded). Stainless steel housing, burners, cooking grids, valves, inner liners and manifold assemblies are warranted for five (5) years; all other components except batteries for one (1) year. Labor is not covered. Proof of purchase is required.
