Fire Magic EL500 Analog Electric Grill on Patio Post - EL500s-0Z1E-P6
The same EL500 analog grill head as the built-in model, supplied on a 304 stainless steel post with side shelves that bolts down to an existing patio, deck or concrete pad. No island, no masonry and no cabinetry: the post is the installation. 6,000 watts on 240 volts gets it to 650 F in under fifteen minutes, with a thermostatic knob and a mechanical timer rather than a touchscreen.
This is the configuration for a balcony, terrace or roof deck where gas is not permitted and there is nowhere to build an island. It is also the straightforward answer for a condo or townhouse patio, since the whole appliance needs one dedicated electrical circuit and nothing else.

- 650 F on electric, in under 15 minutes. 6,000 watts behind a 480 sq in cooking surface, which is enough to sear rather than merely heat.
- Thermostatic knob instead of a touchscreen. Set a temperature and the grill holds it, with a red status light showing when the element is drawing. Less electronics to fail on an appliance that lives outdoors, at a materially lower price than the touchscreen models.
- Patented Diamond Sear cooking grids in 304 stainless. The same grids fitted to Fire Magic's gas grills, carrying a ten year warranty on an electric unit.
- Double-walled oven lid and integrated 20-minute timer. Holds heat for indirect cooking, and the timer cuts the element rather than just sounding.
- No gas, no tank, no venting. One dedicated 240 V circuit is the entire supply.

Required to Complete the Installation
This grill needs a dedicated 230/240 VAC single-phase circuit on a 30 A minimum GFCI breaker, run to the post and hard-wired by a licensed electrician. It is not a 120 V appliance and does not plug into a standard outlet; at 6,000 watts it draws 25 A, so an existing 15 A or 20 A patio circuit will not run it. Plan the conduit route to the post location before the post is anchored.
The post surface-mounts to an existing patio, deck or concrete pad. Allow about 56 in of width for the grill with its side shelves and 24 in of depth. If you need the grill set into the ground on a buried post rather than bolted to a slab, that is the G6 model instead; if you need a lowered, accessible working height, those are the AP (patio) and AG (in-ground) models. Ask us and we will quote the right one.
No gas line, no propane cylinder and no vent hood are required.
Optional Accessories
A rotisserie kit, a stainless steel griddle plate and a searing accessory are offered for the EL500 series. Covers for the post-mount configuration differ from the built-in cover; ask us for the correct part number and we will confirm it against the current Fire Magic book before you order. Warranty
Fire Magic warrants this grill in tiers. The stainless steel cooking grids and housing of an electric grill are warranted for ten (10) years. Heating elements are warranted for five (5) years. All other grill components, excluding ignition and electronic parts, are warranted for three (3) years. Electronic components, including lights and thermometers, and grill accessories are warranted for one (1) year. The warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase and to single family residential use. Warranty claims are handled through your authorized Fire Magic dealer.
