The Kingsman ZCV42 with tempered glass is a 42 inch dedicated Clean View zero clearance direct vent gas fireplace for new construction or renovation. It runs up to 25,000 BTU on natural gas or propane, with millivolt or ProFlame II electronic ignition that keeps working in a power failure. The tempered glass version is the value choice in the ZCV42 line, with seven liner choices and the same vented chase option for a cooler wall under a TV.

Installation Notes
Install natural gas or propane only as shown on the rating plate. Choose a non-vented or vented chase before framing, because the manual gives separate framing, clearance, mantel and facing requirements for each. Kingsman warns that tempered glass is vulnerable to thermal shock, so keep water away from the glass, especially when hot. In New York City, gas fireplace work must be done by a licensed professional under a DOB permit, and the direct vent route should be planned before ordering. What is the maximum BTU?
Kingsman lists 25,000 BTU maximum for the tempered glass ZCV42 on either fuel; 16,500 BTU is the natural gas low setting.
Tempered or ceramic glass?
This listing is the non-H model with tempered glass. The H models use Robax ceramic or coated Neoceram glass and carry a higher maximum input.
Does it work in a power failure?
Yes. The millivolt and IPI valve systems operate during a power failure, and the optional wall mount battery holder supports IPI models.
Is media included?

Warranty
Per the Kingsman manual: a basic one year warranty replaces any component found defective in materials or workmanship, including labor, excluding accent light bulbs, gasketing, glass fronts and paint. The heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner are covered for the period the original owner owns the product, with replacement parts only (labor, freight and handling are not covered).
