Installation Notes
Kingsman says to install the fan kit before facing material or the surround goes on; servicing later means working through the firebox after removing the burner pan. Keep cords and wires away from the firebox and the underside of the burner pan. The vent-free fireboxes in this list (ZVF33, ZVFCV39, ZVFCV42, ZVFCV47) cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. Planning the finish around your fireplace? Frequently Asked Questions
Is the fan required?
No. It is an option on these fireplaces; it improves heat circulation.
Can I add it after the wall is finished?
Plan it before finishing. Kingsman says to install it before facing material is applied.
