Installation Notes
The Jade 42 frames 49 in. wide and 17-3/4 in. deep and is approved only with Hearth & Home Technologies SLP venting. Plan for unswitched 110-120 VAC power, a gas line to the valve, and the mantel and wall projection limits in the installation manual; an 18 in. clearance applies above the top vent elbow when the Passive Heat side discharge kit is used. Majestic recommends installation by HHT factory-trained or NFI certified professionals. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Jade 42 include a front?
No. Majestic requires the decorative front to be ordered separately at the time of purchase. Choose clean face trim or a picture frame front.
Can I put a TV above it?
Yes, with planning. The Smart-Wall TV kit and Passive Heat kits manage heat for a TV above the fireplace; follow the mantel and wall projection charts in the installation manual.
Natural gas or propane?
Order JADE42IN-B for natural gas or JADE42IL-B for propane. Inputs are 25,250 BTU/h maximum on NG and 23,500 BTU/h on LP.
Can it go in a bedroom?
Yes. The Jade is also certified for installation in a bedroom or bed-sitting room, subject to local code.

Warranty
Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the Majestic owner's manual: the firebox and heat exchanger are covered for the lifetime term (HHT defines lifetime as 20 years for gas appliances) with 3 years labor; burners, logs and refractory components 10 years with 1 year labor; electrical components such as modules, remotes, wall switches, valves, pilots, blowers and lights 2 years; all other parts 1 year. Coverage begins at installation, is transferable while the fireplace stays at its original site, and requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer.
