The Majestic Quartz 36 is a traditional direct vent gas fireplace with a shallow 16-5/16 in. depth and a 32-1/16 in. by 21-1/2 in. glass view. It is a smart pick when you want a full log fire but have limited wall depth, such as a bump-out or an interior wall.
It runs up to 24,000 BTU/h on natural gas (QUARTZ36IFTN) or 20,500 BTU/h on propane (QUARTZ36IFTL), vents from the top or rear, and the interior can change from traditional brick to reflective black glass or a contemporary media kit later.

Frame the Quartz 36 at 42 in. wide, 38-1/4 in. high and 16-1/4 in. deep, and vent it through the top or rear with Hearth & Home Technologies DVP or SLP pipe. Provide unswitched 110-120 VAC power and a gas line, keep the decorative barrier front installed, and follow the mantel and clearance figures in the installation manual. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. Is the front included?
Yes. The Quartz manual lists the DBM36BK decorative barrier front as included, and it must be installed to prevent contact with the hot glass.
Can I make it look modern later?
Yes. Swap in reflective black glass panels or add the CK36 contemporary conversion kit with glass and stones.
How deep is it?
16-5/16 in., with a 16-1/4 in. framing depth, which is shallow for a traditional direct vent fireplace.
Natural gas or propane?
Order QUARTZ36IFTN for natural gas (24,000 BTU/h max) or QUARTZ36IFTL for propane (20,500 BTU/h max).

Warranty
Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the Majestic owner's manual: the firebox and heat exchanger are covered for the lifetime term (HHT defines lifetime as 20 years for gas appliances) with 3 years labor; burners, logs and refractory components 10 years with 1 year labor; electrical components such as modules, remotes, wall switches, valves, pilots, blowers and lights 2 years; all other parts 1 year. Coverage begins at installation, is transferable while the fireplace stays at its original site, and requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer.
