Installation Notes

The manual has the installer remove the six brick clips and center clip, take out the media fence (kept for reuse) and its lower liner clips, then fit the back and side liners. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required.

Documentation

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it fit the IDV26 insert?

No. This is the Serene 60 (ZCVRB60) liner; the IDV26 uses its own liner.

Will porcelain discolor?

The Kingsman manuals note porcelain liners may discolor or warp in normal use, which is not covered.

Warranty

Kingsman limited warranty, per the Kingsman and Marquis manuals: in the first year after installation, Kingsman replaces any component part found defective in materials or workmanship, with labor at its rate schedule through an authorized Kingsman dealer (accent light bulbs, gasketing and paint excluded). The lifetime term covers the fireplace heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner, not accessories, and applies only at the original installation site in the United States or Canada. The manuals note that warping and discoloration of porcelain or painted metal liners is normal and not covered.
