The Marquis by Kingsman VL72AVP is the adjustable vented platform for the Enclave 72 linear direct vent gas fireplace, an optional installation base that sets the firebox height. The manual gives the height as approximately 15 to 27 in., and its parts list gives 15-1/8 to 27-1/8 in. for this platform.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

The platform must be in place and level before the fireplace goes on. Attach the fireplace with the screws provided, do not move it once installed, and secure the fireplace to the framing. The side openings may be closed in once the required minimum opening is met at the front. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required.

Is the platform required?

No. It is optional; the fireplace can also sit on framing that provides the vented opening the manual requires.

Warranty

Kingsman limited warranty, per the Kingsman and Marquis manuals: in the first year after installation, Kingsman replaces any component part found defective in materials or workmanship, with labor at its rate schedule through an authorized Kingsman dealer (accent light bulbs, gasketing and paint excluded). The lifetime term covers the fireplace heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner, not accessories, and applies only at the original installation site in the United States or Canada.
