The Marquis Enclave 48 (MQVL48) is a single-sided direct vent linear gas fireplace from Kingsman, built for modern living rooms and media walls where the TV goes right above the fire. Its vented chase design lets you run drywall or other combustible finishes right up to the glass opening with zero clearance to TVs and artwork, and the seamless glass front replaces the usual steel mesh barrier. A Proflame II remote with thermostat and LED accent lighting control is standard.

Installation Notes

The Enclave chase must be vented both above (151 sq. in. minimum) and below (84 sq. in. minimum) the fireplace, and the appliance must be set and vented before the area above it is framed in. Frame 56-1/2 in. wide and 18-1/2 in. or 19 in. deep depending on how the face is finished, and keep the 5/8 in. space around the opening clear of wall covering. The fireplace runs a 5 in. / 8 in. direct vent to an exterior wall or roof. Installation must be done by a qualified, licensed gas installer. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I put a TV right above the Enclave 48?

Yes. Marquis lists zero clearance to TVs and artwork and allows combustible materials up to the glass opening, as long as the chase is vented above and below as the manual requires.

Is this the corner or peninsula version?

No. MQVL48 is the single-sided model. The corner and bay peninsula versions are the MQVLBG48 models.

Is glass media included?

Marquis lists glass media as a required option, so plan to add it. Log sets, stones and cannonballs can be layered on top.

Can it heat the room?

Yes. The Enclave 48 is certified as a vented gas fireplace heater (ANSI Z21.88) at up to 35,000 BTU/h, and the optional heat distribution system can send heat to another room.

Warranty

Kingsman Limited Lifetime Warranty: during the first year after installation, defective component parts are replaced including labour (accent light bulbs, gasketing, glass fronts and paint excluded), through an authorized Kingsman dealer. The heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner are warranted for as long as the original owner owns the product; under the lifetime coverage, labour, material, freight and handling are not covered.
