Marquis by Kingsman Heat Distribution System for Fireplace VL48HDS

The Marquis by Kingsman VL48HDS is the optional heat distribution system for the Enclave 48 linear direct vent gas fireplace. A plenum above the firebox collects heated air and sends it through four 5 in. flex pipes to grilles in the same room or a nearby area, per the Enclave 48 manual. The flex pipe is not included.

Installation Notes

Plan the HDS before framing: connect all four flex pipes for the single room option, or only the two inside pipes when one outlet serves a secondary area. Insulation in a vented chase must be supported by drywall and the chase kept free of debris. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the flex pipe included?

No. The Enclave 48 manual says VL48HDS requires the ZDV5FP6 flex pipe kit.

Does it fit the Enclave 60 or 72?

The Enclave 60 and 72 manuals do not list it; it is certified with the Enclave 48.

Warranty

Kingsman limited warranty, per the Kingsman and Marquis manuals: in the first year after installation, Kingsman replaces any component part found defective in materials or workmanship, with labor at its rate schedule through an authorized Kingsman dealer (accent light bulbs, gasketing and paint excluded). The lifetime term covers the fireplace heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner, not accessories, and applies only at the original installation site in the United States or Canada.
