The Napoleon Ascent 30 (B30NTRE-1) is a compact traditional direct vent gas fireplace with a log set and glowing ember bed, a 25-11/16 in. by 23-11/16 in. view and a shallow 14 in. depth. It is sized for bedrooms, dens and smaller living rooms where a 36 in. firebox would be too much.
Napoleon rates it at 15,000 BTU/h on natural gas with electronic ignition and battery backup. It vents top or rear with 4 in. / 7 in. pipe, and you can finish it with a painted black interior or MIRRO-FLAME porcelain panels and a Heritage or Zen front, as configured above.

Installation Notes
Frame the Ascent 30 to 30-1/2 in. W x 35 in. H x 14-1/2 in. D and vent it top or rear with Napoleon 4 in. / 7 in. direct vent components, following the vent tables and termination clearances in the installation manual. Keep the mantel and wall projection limits in the manual, and have a licensed gas technician install it. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. Do I have to buy a front?
No. It ships with a standard safety barrier. The Heritage and Zen decorative fronts are optional upgrades in the options above.
Is the vent kit included?
No. A Napoleon 4 in. / 7 in. direct vent kit is required and depends on whether you terminate through a wall or the roof.
Can it go in a bedroom?
Yes. Napoleon approves the Ascent for bedroom, bathroom and bed-sitting room installations, and it is certified for mobile homes.

Warranty
Napoleon President's Limited Lifetime Warranty: the combustion chamber, heat exchanger, burner, logs and embers, ceramic glass (thermal breakage), plated parts and porcelain components are covered for as long as the original purchaser owns the fireplace, with parts replaced free for the first 10 years and at 50% of retail after that. Electrical components and wearable parts (blower, gas valve, switches, wiring, remote, ignitor, gaskets, pilot assembly) are covered for one year, and warranty labour is covered for the first year through an authorized Napoleon dealer.
