The Napoleon Ascent Linear Premium 46 (BLX46NTE) is a single-sided linear direct vent gas fireplace with a 39 inch by 14-1/8 inch viewing area. It is built for a framed feature wall in an apartment, condo or home with no chimney, and it includes a heat-circulating blower, NIGHT LIGHT, battery back-up control system and eFIRE controller with remote, so most of what you would otherwise add is already in the box.

Installation Notes

Napoleon's manual specifies no hearth extension, a minimum of 4 ft between the unit and objects in front, and installation by a licensed gas technician. Mantel and TV clearances depend on the heat management option, so confirm them before framing. In New York City, a direct vent gas fireplace must meet the NYC Fuel Gas Code and be permitted. Schedule a consultation and we will confirm venting and framing before you order.

Does it include a blower and remote?

Yes. Napoleon lists the eFIRE controller, remote control, internal blower and battery back-up control system as included.

Do I have to buy a log kit?

Yes. The Premium firebox ships without media, so a log set or beach fire kit is required to complete it.

Is the vent kit included?

No. Direct vent pipe and termination are sold separately, and the right kit depends on whether you terminate through a wall or the roof.
