The Napoleon Cineview 26 (NEFB26H) is a 26 in. electric firebox that slides into an existing wood-burning fireplace opening or builds into a new wall with its self-trimming flange. At 7-3/4 in. deep it fits shallow masonry openings that cannot take a gas insert. A burnt oak log set and crystal media both come in the box, so you can change the look by season, and ECO and BOOST heat modes run on a standard 120V circuit.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: NEFB26H fireplace, remote, log set and grate, crystal media and hardware, per the Napoleon spec sheet
  • Optional: NEFTK2636 black trim kit for insert installations (variant above)
  • Required: a dedicated 120V 15 A grounded outlet, or hardwiring by an electrician
  • Larger size: Cineview 30 (NEFB30H)

Installation Notes

For an insert, clean the existing firebox and run a 120V outlet inside or beside it; for a built-in, frame a 25-1/4 x 19-7/8 in. opening plus the floor or mantel base thickness, 7-3/4 in. deep, and finish the wall before securing the unit. Napoleon recommends two people for installation. Electric fireplaces need no gas line or venting, which makes them a practical choice for New York City apartments and co-ops, subject to building or board approval for any electrical work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my old fireplace?

If the opening is at least 25-1/4 in. wide, 19-7/8 in. high and 7-3/4 in. deep it can slide in; the NEFTK2636 trim kit covers the gap around a larger face.

Are logs and crystals both included?

Yes. Both come in the box.

What do ECO and BOOST do?

ECO runs the heater at reduced output to save energy; BOOST runs it at full output to bring the room up to temperature faster.

Does it need 240V?

No. It runs on 120V at 1,465 W on a dedicated 15 A circuit.

Warranty

Napoleon Electric Appliance Standard Warranty, per the Napoleon manual: Napoleon supplies replacement electrical components and wearable parts (fan/heaters, motors, switches, nylon bearing components, remote controls and LED lights) free of charge for the first year. Light bulbs and fuses are not covered, and labor for warranty repair is not covered. Coverage is for the original purchaser, begins on the date of original installation and is not transferable.
