The Napoleon Cineview 30 (NEFB30H) is a 30 in. electric firebox that slides into an existing wood-burning fireplace opening or builds into a new wall with its self-trimming flange. It is only 7-3/4 in. deep, so it suits shallow masonry openings that cannot take a gas insert.

Logs and crystal media both come in the box, so you can switch looks by season. Orange, blue and multi-color flames, adjustable flame speed and brightness, and ECO and BOOST heat modes are run from the touch panel or remote, and the heater plugs into a standard 120V outlet.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

For an insert, the existing fireplace must be clean and a 120V outlet run inside or beside it; for a built-in, frame the opening to the manual and finish the wall before securing the unit. Napoleon lists zero clearance to combustibles at the bottom, sides, back and top. Keep curtains and furniture at least 36 in. from the front. Electric fireplaces need no gas line or venting, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and co-ops, subject to building and board approval for any electrical work. Book a design consultation to plan an insert or a new wall.

Will it fit my old wood-burning fireplace?

If the opening is at least 29-1/4 in. wide, 19-7/8 in. high and 7-3/4 in. deep, it can slide in; a trim kit covers the gap around a larger opening.

Which trim kit do I need?

Measure the face of your opening: the NEFTK3040 covers up to 40 x 30 in., and the zero clearance kits cover 38 x 28 or 44 x 32 in.

Does it run on 240V?

The Cineview manual rates it at 120V and 1,465 W on a dedicated 15 A circuit.

How much heat does it make?

Up to 5,000 BTU, enough supplemental heat for a room of up to about 400 sq. ft. per Napoleon.

Warranty

Napoleon Electric Appliance Standard Warranty, per the Cineview manual: Napoleon provides replacement electrical components and wearable parts (fan/heaters, motors, switches, nylon bearing components, remote controls and LED lights) free of charge for the first year. Labor is not covered, nor are light bulbs and fuses. The warranty covers manufacturing defects for the original purchaser, requires purchase through an authorized Napoleon dealer and is not transferable.
