The Napoleon CLEARion Elite 50 (NEFBD50HE) is a see-through electric fireplace that shows the fire to two rooms at once, with privacy glass that can turn the view between rooms transparent, semi-transparent or fully opaque. It is a strong fit for a wall between a living room and a dining room or den.
Each side has its own remote, so the heat can run in one room, both or neither. The heater delivers 1,500 W on 120V or 3,000 W when wired for 240V, and the ember bed takes acrylic crystals or topaz glass lit by color-changing LEDs.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes
Napoleon requires the CLEARion Elite to be hard-wired to a dedicated 15 A circuit; extension cords are not permitted, and the appliance needs a neutral connection. Choose the trim kit that matches your wall thickness, 2 x 4 or 2 x 8, and frame the opening per the manual. Electric fireplaces need no gas line or venting, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and co-ops, subject to building and board approval for the electrical work. Yes. Two remotes are included, and each room can run its own heat setting or none.
Does it plug into an outlet?
No. Napoleon's manual requires hard-wiring to a dedicated 15 A circuit; extension cords are not allowed.
What is privacy mode?
Privacy glass changes the view between rooms from transparent to semi-transparent to fully opaque.
Which trim do I need?
It depends on the wall: choose the 2 x 4 wall trim in black or stainless, or the stainless trim for a 2 x 8 wall.

Light bulbs and fuses are not covered. Coverage is for the original purchaser, is not transferable, begins on the date of installation and requires purchase through an authorized Napoleon dealer.
