Description

The Napoleon F45-6 is a six-pack of the F45 universal on/off remote, the kit installers keep on hand for gas fireplaces, stoves and inserts with a millivolt valve or electronic ignition. Each kit has a transmitter with an LCD that shows on/off status and room temperature, a battery receiver and a slide switch for manual on, remote and off.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included in each of the 6 kits: transmitter, receiver, slide switch and batteries, per the Napoleon F45/F60/F60D instructions
  • Required: a gas appliance with a millivolt valve or an electronic ignition module with switch leads
  • Single kit: Napoleon F45 remote; thermostatic version: F60-6

Installation Notes

Turn off gas and power, wire the receiver to the valve switch terminals, or to the two switch leads of an electronic ignition control module, and keep the receiver out of hot valve compartments on stoves and inserts. Set the receiver to REMOTE and hold ON on the transmitter within 30 seconds to pair. In New York City, gas appliance work is done by a licensed master plumber under the NYC Fuel Gas Code.

What is the difference from the F60?

The F45 is on/off with a room temperature display; the F60 adds thermostatic control.

Will it work with electric fireplaces?

No. It is for gas appliances with millivolt or electronic ignition valves.
