The Summerset Sizzler 40 in. built-in gas grill (SZR40) is a five-burner, stainless steel grill for a full-size outdoor kitchen at an accessible price point. Five main burners share 60,000 BTU, per Summerset's owner's manual, over stainless grates and flame tamers.
Electronic spark ignition with a match-light backup, a double-walled hood and a warming rack keep it simple to run. It drops into a non-combustible island, or you can add the Sizzler insulated liner for a combustible surround.

Installation Notes
For a built-in, the island must be non-combustible; Summerset recommends cement board over steel studs with 4 in. vents high and low, and a combustible surround needs the insulated liner. Keep 2 in. at the sides and rear from non-combustible walls or a backsplash and 10 in. from a protected combustible wall, and follow the manual's rules for overhead construction and exhaust hoods. Natural gas models must use the supplied regulator set to 4 in. w.c. In New York City, gas grills on terraces and rooftops are regulated by the FDNY and the Department of Buildings, gas piping must be run by a licensed master plumber, and propane cylinder use is heavily restricted, so we review the space before quoting. Is there a rear burner?
No. The standard Sizzler has five main burners; the Sizzler Pro adds a rear burner and lights.
What cutout does it need?
37-3/4 in. W x 20-3/4 in. D x 8 in. H, plus 1/4 in. as Summerset recommends.
Can it go in a wood frame island?
Only with Summerset's GL-SZR40 insulated liner; otherwise the island must be non-combustible.
