The Summerset GL-SZR32 is a 304 stainless steel insulated grill liner (insulating jacket) that lets you build Summerset Sizzler and Sizzler Pro 32 in. built-in gas grills into an island framed or finished with combustible materials. It lines the opening and provides the clearance the appliance needs from wood framing, siding or other combustibles. The island cutout for the liner is 33 in. W x 9 3/4 in. H x 22 in. D, per Summerset.

Installation Notes

When a liner is used, cut the island to the liner cutout above, not to the grill cutout. Confirm the dimensions against the current cutout sheet and the grill installation manual before framing. In New York City, gas work in an outdoor kitchen must be done by a licensed plumber and may need DOB filings.

Do I need an insulated liner?

You need one when the island is framed or finished with combustible material such as wood. A fully non-combustible island may not require it; follow the grill installation manual.

Which cutout do I use, the grill or the liner?

The liner. The grill then drops into the liner.

Warranty

Summerset's 2024 to 2025 warranty schedule gives doors, drawers, grill liners and carts a Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty on construction, workmanship and materials for all stainless steel parts. The warranty covers the original purchaser at the original delivery site, covers replacement parts only (not labor), and requires online registration within 30 days of purchase.
