Description
The Superior DRL4060 (DRL4060TEN-B) is a 60-inch clean-face linear direct vent gas fireplace from the DRL4000 series, rated up to 40,000 BTU on natural gas, with reflective black glass media and a non-combustible fireboard included.
As the DRL4000 version it uses a straightforward ProFlame electronic ignition with wall-switch control, with a remote kit available. The firebox installs single-sided as standard, converts to see-through with the optional kit, and is listed for bedrooms, aftermarket mobile homes and manufactured homes.

- Included: DRL4060 firebox with safety barrier, reflective black glass media (3 x 5 lb.), non-combustible fireboard (top, bottom and sides) with screws, two-conductor wall-switch wire, AA battery backup pack and literature
- Required: direct vent pipe and a termination (IHP 6 in. / 9 in. DV Lock), sold separately and sized to the vent plan
- Required: a 120 VAC unswitched electrical supply and a gas line sized for the input
- Required for propane: field conversion kit GCK-M-4060BNP

Installation Notes
Install by a qualified gas fitter to the current Superior installation manual, including framing, mantel and side-wall clearances, venting, fireboard and the 120 VAC connection. A see-through installation needs the see-through kit and its own framing dimensions.
In New York City gas fireplace work requires a licensed master plumber and permit. Book a fireplace design consultation to plan the wall, venting route and any TV above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it be see-through?
Yes, with the optional STK-LIN60-B see-through kit, installed with the see-through framing dimensions.
Can a TV go above it?
Yes, when the HeatFlo kit is installed and the TV manufacturer's temperature limits are respected. HeatFlo allows a recessed wall pocket above the fireplace.
What is the difference between the DRL4000 and DRL6000?
Both share the same firebox sizes. The DRL6000 adds the ProFlame II hand-held thermostat remote and platinum glass media; the DRL4000 uses wall-switch control with reflective black glass.

Warranty
Innovative Hearth Products 20 Year Limited Warranty (installation manual): the fireplace body, firebox, barrier and ceramic glass are covered for 20 years from the date of installation. The burner, gas components and gaskets are covered for one year, optional blowers and remote controls for one year, tempered glass for one year and optional glass doors for 90 days; parts not otherwise listed carry a 90 day warranty. Labor is paid at prevailing IHP rates for each component's warranty period. Vent components, trim and paint are excluded. Refer to the manual for full terms.
