The Superior ERL3000 84 in. linear electric fireplace (ERL3084, also known as the Plexus 84, MPE-84D) stretches an 84 in. wide flame across a feature wall. It can be recessed into a 6-1/2 in. deep framed wall or wall mounted, and it is framed in with combustible materials right up to its edge.
Yellow and blue flame effects, multi-color ember bed lighting and ceiling lights each have their own brightness settings, and a 1,500 W fan-forced heater adds about 5,000 BTU/h of supplemental heat with a thermostat.

Installation Notes
The ERL3084 can be recessed into a framed wall 87 in. W x 16-1/2 in. H and 6-1/2 in. deep, or wall mounted on its bracket, and combustible materials may be framed right up to the edge of the unit. Keep at least 23-5/8 in. to the ceiling, and do not place it against a non-insulated exterior wall or a vapor barrier. It draws 13.33 A at 120V, so plan a dedicated circuit, and Superior advises against extension cords. Electric fireplaces need no gas line or venting, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and co-ops, subject to building and board approval for the electrical work. Does it heat a room?
It has a 1,500 W heater, about 5,000 BTU/h, for supplemental heat. You can also run the flames with the heater off.
Can I recess it into the wall?
Yes. It recesses into framing 87 in. W x 16-1/2 in. H x 6-1/2 in. D, or it can be wall mounted on the included bracket.
Does it plug in?
It comes with a power cord and can also be hardwired. At 13.33 A, a dedicated 15 A circuit is the safe plan.
What colors can the ember bed show?
Red, pink, snow white, cool blue, dark blue, green and lake green, plus an automatic all-color cycle.

Warranty
Superior (Innovative Hearth Products) Limited One Year Warranty, per the installation manual: the product body, blower and circuit board are covered for 1 year, and the remote control for 1 year. Glass components, accessories and doors, light bulbs, LED strips and batteries, and unlisted parts are covered for 90 days. Installation must be in the United States or Canada, by a licensed contractor approved by IHP, and claims must be made in writing within 90 days of the failure.
