The Superior Giant Timbers Outdoor log set with Mega-Flame burner turns a Superior outdoor firebox into a working gas fireplace. Highly detailed cast concrete logs sit on a heavy-duty stainless steel chassis and grate, with a tall, layered flame.
Superior rates the set at 29,000 to 40,000 BTU/h. The burners in these kits are the electronic ignition versions (MNF24ONE/OPE or MNF30ONE/OPE), which Superior ships with an RCAF3 remote control.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: Giant Timbers concrete log set and Mega-Flame burner with electronic ignition and RCAF3 remote, per the size and fuel you select
- Required: a Superior outdoor firebox such as the VRE4242 42 in. firebox or VRE4236 36 in. firebox
- Required: gas supply sized for the burner, installed by a licensed gas fitter
Installation Notes
Install the log set and burner only in a firebox listed for it; Superior's VRE4200 manual limits those fireboxes to 40,000 BTU/h and names the 24 in. outdoor burner kits (MNF24ONM, MNF24OPM, MNF24ONE, MNF24OPE) for outdoor use. Never install the firebox in windy or drafty areas, and follow the log placement instructions so the flame burns cleanly. A licensed gas fitter should make the connection. For New York City addresses, outdoor gas fire features and their gas piping fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings permitting, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code, so the approval path must be confirmed before you buy. Which size do I need?
Match the set to the firebox: the 30 in. set with the 24 in. burner fits the 42 in. VRE4242, the 24 in. set fits the 36 in. VRE4236, and the 36 in. set is for a larger firebox.
Is a remote included?
Yes. The electronic ignition burners in this kit come with Superior's RCAF3 remote control.
Can I use it indoors?
This kit is the outdoor version. Indoor use requires a log set listed for indoor vent-free use, and vent-free logs cannot be installed indoors in New York City.
Natural gas or propane?
Both are offered; the burner is factory built for the fuel you choose.
