The Superior VRL3045 is a 45 inch linear vent-free gas fireplace in the VRL3000 series, with a two-tier burner over platinum glass media, interior lighting, electronic ignition and a full-function remote. Because it needs no vent or chimney, it suits walls outside New York City that cannot be vented.
Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. We sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I install the VRL3045 in New York City?
No. Vent-free gas appliances are not allowed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. Consider a direct vent linear fireplace or an electric model instead.
How much heat does it make?
18,000 to 23,000 BTU/h on natural gas and 17,000 to 21,000 BTU/h on propane.
Can I add both the HeatFlo kit and a blower?
No. Superior states the FBK-100 blower cannot be used when a HeatFlo kit is installed.
Does the room size matter?
Yes. The manual requires enough room volume for the combined input of all fuel-burning appliances in the space.
