The Superior VRL3055 is a 55 in. linear vent-free gas fireplace (VRL3000 series) with a two-tier burner, platinum glass media, interior lighting, electronic ignition and a full-function remote. Because it needs no vent or chimney, it is aimed at homes outside New York City where a long linear flame is wanted on a wall that cannot be vented. It is certified as an unvented gas-fired room heater with an oxygen depletion sensor, and room size rules apply.

Installation Notes
Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. We sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it. Where permitted, a qualified installer must confirm the room volume and fresh-air requirements in Superior manual 901149-00 before installing. Can I install the VRL3055 in New York City?
No. Vent-free gas appliances are not allowed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. Consider a direct vent linear fireplace or an electric model instead.

Is the ignition millivolt or electronic?
The VRL3000 series uses electronic ignition with a full-function remote.
Does the room size matter?
