Where vent-free gas is permitted, a qualified installer must match the log set to the firebox, check the room volume (cu ft x 20 = maximum BTU/h; under 50 cu ft per 1,000 BTU/h is a confined space) and follow Superior manual 126697-01. It may not go in a bedroom or bathroom unless the log set is rated 10,000 BTU/h or less, and wood fires are prohibited.
