Overall Dimensions: 48" W x 32" D x 24" H (hood body, duct cover extra)
The Trade-Wind P7248-ISL is a 48-inch pyramid-style island hood for outdoor kitchens, built in 304 stainless steel with a 32-inch front-to-back capture area. This is the remote-blower model: it is pre-wired for an in-line or remote blower and has no blower inside the hood, so it suits installations where you want the fan away from the cooking area. Installation Notes
Installation should be completed by a qualified installer and a licensed electrician. Vent the hood outdoors through metal ductwork only, and do not use a damper in a BBQ hood application. Install with at least 36" between the cooking surface and the hood structure for custom canopies; follow all published clearances. Provide a minimum of three feet of weatherproof roof coverage on all sides not protected from rain by an adjacent wall. Trade-Wind notes that performance is not guaranteed for island installations. Plan your layout in a design consultation.
Documentation
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this hood include a blower?
No. The P7248-ISL is the remote-blower model. Choose an in-line or remote blower; the 1266 CFM in-line blower is the manufacturer's optional pairing. For an internal blower, see the P7248-12-ISL.
What size duct does it use?
A single 10" round discharge, top only.
Can I use it under a low ceiling?
The duct cover telescopes and is included for ceilings up to 10'. Taller ceilings need a chase or soffit.
Is it only for island installs?
This is the island-style pyramid hood, with the 32" capture depth designed to cover the grill below.
