The Superior FCBK45T is the Craftsman premium facade in Black for 45 in Superior traditional direct-vent fireplaces in the DRT2000-E, DRT3000-E, DRT3500-E, DRT4000-E / DRT4200-E series. It frames the glass with squared, mission-style lines and carries its own screen mesh barrier, and it adjusts out 1 in from the fireplace so noncombustible finishing materials can run up to it.

Installation Notes

Install the facade after the noncombustible wall finish is complete, following the facade installation section of the fireplace manual. Superior requires a barrier on the fireplace before it is operated; the Craftsman facade supplies it, and a damaged mesh barrier must be replaced before the fireplace is used again.

In New York City, direct-vent gas fireplaces need a licensed master plumber for the gas line and a permit, and the vent termination must meet NYC code for distance from windows, doors and lot lines.

The Innovative Hearth Products (IHP) limited warranty printed in the Superior fireplace manual gives parts not otherwise listed a 90 day warranty from the date of installation and excludes trim components and paint from the 20 year coverage on the fireplace body, firebox and barrier.
