Frequently Asked Questions

How many bags do I need?

It depends on the fireplace: DRL2000 and DRL3500: no more than 3.5 lb in 35 in units, one 5 lb bag in 45 in units and 7.5 lb in 55 in units. DRL6000: three bags for 60 in, four for 72 in and five for 84 in.

Can I pour it in from the bag?

No. Superior says small particles can clog burner ports.

Warranty

Superior fireplace manuals print the Innovative Hearth Products limited warranty, under which parts not otherwise listed carry a 90 day warranty from the date of installation (DRL2000/DRL3500 manual 900994-00).
