Description

The American Fyre Designs Arched GFRC Protector Plate (8200) closes the firebox opening of AFD Phoenix, Grand Phoenix and Mariposa outdoor fireplaces when the fire is off. It is cast in GFRC with arched scroll detail in the same finishes as the fireplace, so the unit looks finished between uses and the firebox stays protected.

Installation Notes

AFD manual H2-011: with the unit completely cool, set the top of the plate into the top of the firebox opening and lower the bottom until it rests in place. Remove the plate before lighting. Planning an outdoor fire feature? Book a design consultation.

Can it stay on while the fire is lit?

No. AFD says to remove the protector plate before use.

Is it required?

No. It is an optional AFD accessory for when the fireplace is not in use.

Warranty

Robert H. Peterson Co. warrants American Fyre Designs exterior GFRC fire features and burners for three (3) years, and all AFD valves, electrical components, accessories and controls for one (1) year (batteries, wind guards and screens excluded), to the original purchaser from the date of purchase with proof of purchase, per the AFD manual. Labor is not covered, and damage from burning wood or any fuel other than natural gas or propane is excluded.
