The Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Marine 3400W is a 50-inch dual-element infrared heater in AISI 316 stainless steel with a white finish and a tinted glass-ceramic face. It is built for coastal and salt air locations such as waterfront homes, docks and boat houses, and its slim 2 inch depth mounts to a wall, a ceiling, a pole or a recess kit.

A minimal-glow tinted fascia spreads heat evenly with little visible light, and the marine build carries an IPX5 rating with the sealed bracket covers. Bromic publishes five years of land-based warranty for this heater.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

This heater is hard wired: it has no on/off switch, so the installation must include a means of disconnection and the upstream protection listed in the Bromic manual. Outdoor wiring components need a minimum IPX5 rating. Mount it at least 96 inches above the floor and keep combustibles at least 3 ft away; protect wall and ceiling brackets from rain. Marine models are for land and coastal use, not marine craft. In New York City, electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician, and waterfront or terrace installs may need approvals, so we recommend a site visit. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the 240V or 208V model?

BH0320018 is the white 220-240V, 14.2 A model. Bromic lists the 208V, 16.3 A versions under different part numbers (BH0320025 and BH0320026).

Does it include a controller?

No. Bromic sells controls separately, including Affinity dimmers and wall switches.

How high should it be mounted?

At least 96 inches above the floor, or 94 inches when recessed into a ceiling.

What makes the Marine version different?

It is built in AISI 316 stainless steel and carries an IPX5 rating with the sealed bracket covers, for coastal air.

Warranty

Bromic's published US warranty lists five years for the Platinum Electric Marine on land-based installations and three years on marine vessels, for the original owner only. The owner pays labor, shipping and permit costs, and claims start with the dealer that sold the heater.
