The Fire Magic 42-inch 42-VH-7 is a 1,200 CFM stainless steel outdoor vent hood for covered patios and grill islands. Two 120V fans pull smoke, heat and grease away from the grill, and a thermal sensor starts the fans automatically at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be vented vertically or horizontally, so it suits most covered outdoor kitchen layouts.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: hood with fans, halogen lamps, one set of 4 filters (VH-18-4) plus 2 filter spacers (VH-42-03-06) and mounting bracket
- Required: Fire Magic spacer 42-VH-7-02 and duct cover 42-VH-7-DC, which are not included and must be used together
- Required: a dedicated 120 VAC GFCI-protected circuit of at least 15 A, and ductwork sized for the 10 in outlet
- Mounting note: remove the junction box (two screws) when mounting the hood
Installation Notes
Mount the hood 30 to 33 in above the grill surface, using the rear vent hole at 11-1/2 in for the duct. Electrical connection and ductwork should be done by licensed trades, and an outdoor hood needs a GFCI protected circuit. Follow the owner's manual for clearances to combustibles.
