Description

The Fire Magic EL500s-3Z1E-P6 is a 240 volt electric grill on a stainless steel patio post with two side shelves, so you get Fire Magic Diamond Sear grilling up to 700 degrees F anywhere you can run a dedicated electrical circuit, with no gas line or propane tank.

This single-control model uses one black glass touchscreen with a digital thermometer and Bluetooth, so the grill can be monitored and adjusted from a smartphone. It preheats in under 15 minutes and is made in the USA.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

Keep at least 8 in. from a rear wall and 24 in. from side or corner walls. Under combustible overhead construction an exhaust hood is required, with a minimum 30 in. between the countertop and the hood; under non-combustible overhead construction a hood is highly recommended. Wiring can be run underground and up the post or brought in externally.

In New York City the dedicated 240 volt GFCI circuit must be installed by a licensed electrician, and an electric grill is often the practical choice for terraces and rooftops where propane is restricted. Book an outdoor kitchen design consultation to plan power and placement.

What electrical service does it need?

How is the post installed?

The post base is secured to the ground with the included lag shields and lag screws; power can come up through the post from underground or from an external source.

What is the difference between the single and dual control models?

This EL500s-3Z1E-P6 has one touchscreen control for the whole grill. The dual control EL500s-4Z1E-P6 has two independently controlled zones.

Warranty

Fire Magic limited warranty by R.H. Peterson Co. (EL500s owner's manual): cooking grids and grill housings are warranted for as long as the original purchaser owns them (lifetime); heating elements for five (5) years; other grill components (except ignition and electronic parts) for three (3) years; the EL500 under-glass touch screen electronic controls for two (2) years; and other electronic components (including lights, thermometers and thermostats) and accessories for one (1) year.

The warranty applies to the original purchaser for single family residential installations in the United States or Canada, requires proof of purchase and professional installation per the manual, and does not cover labor. Refer to the manual for full terms.
