The Fire Magic Legacy 24 in built-in charcoal grill gives an outdoor kitchen real charcoal flavor with the control of a smoker. Its crank-adjustable charcoal pan, Diamond Sear stainless grids and vented smoker hood let you sear a steak or smoke ribs low and slow in the same 304 stainless unit, and the front door lets you feed coals without lifting the grids.

Installation Notes
This is an outdoor-only charcoal grill. Fire Magic requires a masonry or other fireproof enclosure because the unit is not insulated, with 18 in of side and back clearance from unprotected combustible materials such as wood, plastic or stucco over wood framing. Keep at least 4 in from any non-combustible wall or backsplash at the left, right and rear, or 11 in at the rear so the smoker hood can open. Do not install it under unprotected flammable surfaces or in any enclosed area.
Installation is simple: slide the grill into the opening and thread the crank handle into the frame. Spread charcoal evenly and keep it no higher than 1 in above the charcoal pan to avoid overheating.

Can it go in a wood-framed island?
No. Fire Magic states the unit is not insulated and must be installed in masonry or another fireproof enclosure, with 18 in of clearance from unprotected combustibles.
Can I smoke on it?
Yes. The smoker hood has adjustable air shutters, and the included charcoal shield and warming rack set it up for indirect, low and slow cooking.
How do I control the heat?
Turn the front crank to raise or lower the charcoal pan, and use the hood air shutters when the lid is closed.

Warranty
Fire Magic warrants its stainless steel charcoal grills and smokers for five (5) years, except the charcoal pan, charcoal grid, thermometer and ash tray, which are warranted for one (1) year.
