The Hargrove 36 Inch Double Stack is a large vented gas log set for a spacious wood-burning-style fireplace. It pairs a large ember bed burner with an elevated main burner under refractory logs in Kodiak Char, Kodiak Split or Kodiak Timbers styles, and it can be expanded with Hargrove's triple stack add-on for a third tier of logs. A high-capacity millivolt valve with a wall switch means it runs without household power.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes
Center the burner under the flue with the burner pipes visible from the front, connect the supply with the aluminum connector, and leak test every joint with soapy water. Natural gas inlet pressure should be 7 in w.c. minimum and propane 10 in w.c. minimum. Light with a match held beside the burner, and keep the damper open until all flames are out. A fire screen is required and the clearances to combustibles in the manual must be followed. In New York City, gas work must be done by a licensed master plumber under permit, so confirm your fireplace and flue before ordering. What is the difference between double and triple stack?
Double stack uses a large ember bed burner and an elevated main burner. The triple stack add-on adds a third tier of logs at the back of the fireplace.
Does it need electricity?
No. It uses a millivolt pilot system with a wall switch, so no household power is required.
Can it go in any fireplace?
It must be installed in a fully vented, non-combustible fireplace approved for wood, with the damper open at all times while it burns. Measure your opening against the manual's chart before ordering.
How hot does the BTU rating run?
The installation manual lists 130,000 BTU optimum for the 36 in double stack, while the spec sheet shows a higher figure. We can confirm with Hargrove for your fireplace.

Warranty
Per Hargrove: limited lifetime on the refractory logs for indoor installations, 5 years on the burner and grate, and 2 years on valves, remote controls and switching devices and other parts. All categories are 1 year for outdoor use. Defects must be reported within 30 days of discovery.
