The Carol Rose WD48LSS is the 48 in. stainless steel weather door for the Carol Rose 48 in. vent-free linear outdoor fireplaces, single-sided and see-through (OLL48FP12 / OLL48SP12). It closes off the firebox opening when the fireplace is off and keeps rain, leaves and debris off the burner and glass media. A see-through fireplace takes two doors, one per side.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

Set the door over the opening only when the fireplace is off and cool, and always remove it before lighting; never operate the fireplace with the weather door in place. Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code; we sell Carol Rose vent-free outdoor fireplaces and their accessories for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need two?

Only on a see-through fireplace, one door per side. A single-sided fireplace takes one.

Can I leave it on while the fire burns?

No. Remove it before lighting and replace it only when the fireplace is off and cool.

Does it fit the 72 in. linear?

No. WD48LSS is the 48 in. door; the 72 in. linear uses its own weather door.
