The Trade-Wind T7248 is a 48 in. T-shaped outdoor grill hood from Trade-Wind's T7200 T-shaped series, built in Phoenix of commercial-grade #304 stainless steel. Its 32 in. front-to-back depth covers a full built-in grill, and a double bank of stainless baffle filters catches grease and smoke.
This model ships without a blower and is pre-wired for an in-line or remote blower, such as Trade-Wind's 1,266 CFM in-line unit, which keeps fan noise away from the cooking area. It has 3 dimmable 50 W halogen lights. It comes with a telescopic stainless duct cover for 9 to 10 ft ceilings, with a 10 to 12 ft duct cover available as an option.

- Required: a blower, such as the Trade-Wind PSD010XL 1,266 CFM in-line blower
- Recommended: Trade-Wind DPR010 10 in. back-draft damper and a Trade-Wind duct silencer
- Needed: 10 in. metal duct, an exterior roof or wall cap, and a 120V circuit
Installation Notes
Trade-Wind specifies mounting the hood 36 in. above the cooking surface and installing it with at least 3 ft of weatherproof roof coverage on every side not protected by an adjacent wall. Duct it to the outdoors only, with metal duct sized to the 10 in. collar and as few turns as possible, never into a wall cavity or attic; a back-draft damper is not included. It needs a 120V, 60 Hz individual grounded branch circuit on a 15 or 20 A breaker, and Trade-Wind recommends GFCI protection. In New York City, a hood on a terrace or rooftop usually means new duct penetrations and electrical work, so building approval and a licensed electrician are part of the plan. Book a design consultation and we will size the hood, duct run and grill together.

No. Add an in-line or remote blower, such as Trade-Wind's 1,266 CFM PSD010XL; the hood is pre-wired for it.
Are the filters dishwasher safe?
Yes. The stainless baffle filters have easy-grip handles, detergent inlet holes and grease exit holes for dishwasher cleaning.
What warranty does it have?
Trade-Wind covers parts and labor for 3 years from purchase; light bulbs are excluded.

Warranty
Trade-Wind warranty, per the installation instructions (revised January 1, 2023) and spec sheet: 3 years on parts and labor from the date of purchase, to the original user, against defects in materials and workmanship; Trade-Wind will repair or replace the unit or the defective component. Light bulbs are not covered, and neither are problems from installation that does not follow Trade-Wind's instructions and Best Practices, such as undersized ducting or restrictive roof caps. Coverage is for normal residential use in the United States and Canada.
