Available Sizes: Trade-Wind P7200 Pyramid for Remote Blowers
Overall Dimensions: 48 in. W x 32 in. D x 24 in. H, per Trade-Wind P7200 spec sheet
The Trade-Wind P7248 is the 48 inch pyramid style outdoor BBQ vent hood from the P7200 series in its remote-blower version, pre-wired for an in-line or exterior blower. The 32 in. front-to-back capture area covers a 36 to 42 inch grill, and the tapered pyramid shape with a telescopic duct cover gives a finished look from hood to ceiling.
A remote blower keeps motor noise away from the cooking area. It is built in Phoenix, Arizona from #304 stainless and galvanized steel.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: P7248 hood with baffle filters, halogen lighting and duct cover per spec sheet
- Required: a remote or in-line blower such as the Trade-Wind 1266 CFM in-line blower, 10 in. rigid metal duct, a roof or wall cap without a built-in damper, halogen bulbs and a 120 V GFCI protected circuit
- Optional: PDC7248 two-piece duct cover to 12 ft ceilings (option above)
Installation Notes
Per Trade-Wind, install the hood under a roof with at least 3 ft of weatherproof coverage on all sides not protected by an adjacent wall, size the remote blower with the duct run, run rigid metal ducting to the outdoors with sealed joints, and do not use any damper in a BBQ application. Mount 36 in. above the cooking surface. In New York City, exhaust ducting through roofs or walls often needs building approval, so confirm the duct route early. Documentation
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the P7248 include a blower?
No. The P7248 is the remote-blower model; the 1200 CFM internal blower version is the P7248-12.
Why choose a remote blower?
A remote or in-line blower moves motor noise away from the grill area; it must be sized with the duct run.
Can it discharge out the back?
Yes. The P7200 series converts to horizontal ducting using the steps in the installation manual.
Can it go on an open patio?
No. Trade-Wind requires roof coverage over the hood to protect it from direct rain.
